Last updated: 29 June 2026 · DRAFT, pending legal review
Introduction
Shoppa ("we", "us") provides commerce software to merchants in Nigeria. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to shoppahq.com and the Shoppa platform.
What we collect
Account and contact details you provide (name, business name, phone, email, location). Business data you enter to run your store: products, sales, inventory, customers and financial records. Basic technical data such as device and usage information to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To provide and operate the platform, import your products, run your store and POS, process payments through our payment partner, support you, and improve the service. We do not sell your data.
Sharing
With service providers who help us run Shoppa (for example payment processing via Paystack and hosting), under appropriate agreements. With authorities only where required by law. Your customers' data belongs to you, the merchant.
Your data, your store
You own your store, your data and your customer relationships. You can export your records and request deletion of your account data, subject to legal and accounting retention requirements.
Security & retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and retain it for as long as your account is active or as required by law.
